Collins Student World Atlas flipcharts combine the best aspects of traditional teaching and e learning. Flipcharts run on Interactive whiteboards using Promethean ActivStudio software.
The charts are easy touse, visually stimulating and use bright attractive graphics to engage students. Type sizes and symbols have been designed for maximum clarity. They allow teachers and learners to further develop each topic using the inbuilt tools of interactive whiteboards. The graphics can be annotated, highlighted or spotlighted as required bythe teacher to promote further learning. A full range of tools are available within the software so that the teacher has the option to experiment or create further learning material at a level appropriate to the class.
Collins Student World Atlas Statistics flipchart has been created to support various aspects of the National Curriculum guidelines for Geography in secondary schools. It includes economic, demographic and environmental statistics for the creation of special topic world mapping. Topics such as population density, access to safe water, CO2 emissions, GNI, birth rates, literacy and economic indicators are introduced in step-by-step presentations and simple activities support the teaching and learning of geography.
Quizzes incorporated into the charts, making use of Promethean voting pads, encourage students to enjoy learning andallow teachers to assess the progress of the whole class, individualsor groups within the class.
