Sorry, we have been a bit quiet over the last year.
There has been two reasons - one we have been preparing a version of Aimer aimed at older students with a set of geometrical avatars. The betas are out there and we have been preparing upper level content to go with it. But also...
We have also got very excited again about mobile technology in the classroom. When Aimer was started it was with ideas around mobile and games technology and their role in the classroom - the outcome was to create Aimer software to support the handsets or clickers that were starting to appear. Several years on, the introduction of the iPhone and iPod touch has allowed us to revisit those ideas. The result is that Aimer quizzes will soon be coming to the iTunes store.
We are at the final stages of preparing our first two apps with our sister company, Aimer Media , we will update you when they land.
We are pleased to officially launch our new AIMER Shop with the new Collins Atlas Flipcharts. So now as well as the ability to buy AIMER software you can buy and download this new series of flipcharts designed to help students to explore mapping and geographical topics as well as supporting all Collins' core atlas products for schools.

We have been working with Stanford Junior School in Brighton for a number of years and our submission was based on the work we have been doing to create a school-wide assessment solution. With support from Promethean and Brighton and Hove's LEA SIMS team we have been working to enable AIMER to be used by all the teachers to produce assessment data to support their teaching and to investigate how this data could be used for end of year pupil reports and whole school assessment.
We are delighted to announce AIMER for Activexpression. AIMER now supports Promethean's new Activexpression keypads as well as Activote. Activexpression devices have all the voting power of the Activote pods but have mobile phone-like keypads that allow the pupil to respond with numbers or free text, by sorting a list and offering opinions. AIMER have working closely with Promethean, and are very pleased to be the first 3rd party developer to support Activexpression.
The latest version AIMER is now available for download here. There are full and trial versions of AIMER available for existing and new users. A limited number of Promethean Activote and Activexpression hardware sets are available for trials, please contact us for details.
We have appeared as one of the success stories over at Promethean Planet:

This item is featured within their new Partner Developer Network (PDN) area. We also presented our most recent work at their annual Publishers Alliance Conference in London last week. We demonstrated our soon-to-be released AIMER for Activexpression product and showed some of our work with Collins on assessment support for their Atlas products. Both are coming soon...
We are please to announce that we will be demonstrating AIMER at the Scottish Learning Festival http://www.ltscotland.org.uk/SETT/ on the 24th and 25th of September at the SECC in Glasgow. We will be with HarperCollins on stand J38 Hall4. We will be showing the quizzes we have developed with Collins as well as previewing some new developments in AIMER such as working with Activexpression and SIMS integration.
